Like Playing A Piano

As i have the freedom to write about anything i want in this blog, Black holes came into my mind. Now mind you, I am no nerd. However the universe and things like stars and galaxies have always intriged me. So i was wandering, what if we were to be consumed by a black hole. this may sound very random, but wouldn't it be extremely awesome? There is a supermassive black hole located in the heart of every galaxy. Even our own Milky way. Blackholes are created when a extremly huge star goes into a phenomenon known as supernova. It is a state when a giant star runs out of "gas" and dies out by blowing itself up. Then the extremely huge mass is inverted and collideds inwards. Simply put, it is gravity gone wild. Since such a huge amount of mass in concentrated in a small space, it is so strong that even light can not escape it. Just for the sake of understanding the strength of a black hole, the speed of light is 300,000 kilometers per second. So if we were to be in a black hole, technically we would not even know when we died or even be able too think about it because it would be so fast. It has the streanth to devoure an entire star so earth would be nothing.

The Facebook Article.

Believer: The article was very interesting. The author argues some very valid points about facebook. Things like how it is great because it lets us communicate with lost friends and family members that live far away. Manjoo also stated facts about the websites popularity which was very interesting to read. His comparision of the huge population of the website to that of a country was very well done. Facebook can also a good way to catch-up with thing with your friends. It is also a good way to communicate with friends as people now days check facebook more often then their e-mails.
Doubter: Reading this article as a doubter, i found few flaws in his arguments. During some point in the article, the author argues that facebook is a better choice of communication compared to e-mails. I dont agree with this idea because i think most people use facebook as a form of regular entairtainment then communicating. E-mails to me are always a better choice when the situation demands a formal way of communicating. Also the author brought up a point about some people worring about other people posting unwanted messages in their walls. But this can easily be solved by putting them in limited profile or blocked profile.

The American Dream

The American Dream to me means being able to full-fill one's greatest desires and achieving success in life. Many people associate this "dream" with money, fame and glory. But i argue otherwise. As i was born in a third world country, i have seen and felt many kinds of hardships. And coming to a country such as the United States of America has truly been a blessing. But if there is one thing i have learned through this life experience is that money and fame is not everything. Having things like money and fame is not being successful but a reward for achieving success. It is ment to be a souvenir that reflects on our accomplishments. And the term "The American Dream" is just a word that sums up this defination of success. Some people argue that having money is everything, and it's power is what makes the world go around. But i argue this because if this statement was true then why does Bill Gates get up every morning to go to work? Though he is one of the most richest man alive today, he still works to feel that success. i truly believe that inorder to fullfill this dream, one must first successfully achieve their goals in life.
