i had a very helpfull experience with this class that i will never forget. first of all, i thought that getting up at 6 am for a class at 8 am was just plain stupid. i hated it. But after a couple of times of being late, i learned how to wake up early in the mourning! ;)
But on a more serious note, i did learn a lot of new things from this class. One thing that i liked was the different ways one can write and present their argument in a paper. That was really helpful. But there were also times when i hated by myself. Especially when we had to do Paper 2. That was hectic. I was just not getting it. In fact, i had to write my paper 3 times over just to get through the teacher. And i only ended up getting a C. I was really unsatisfied. But other then that one incidedt, i dont think there is anything else that i did not enjoy about the class.
There were also times when i forgot to write the blogs usually due every other thrusday. And getting up early in the mourning to write it, then being late for class. It was not cool especially when one has to fun all the way from the marta station just to get to class on time...and still miss it. But overall i think i enjoyed this journey and i am really glad that happened. Though there were times when i regreted being in the class and hated myself for taking a 8am class on a tuesday and thrusday, there were times when i loved it. I think this is my last english class of my collage carrier and i had a wonderfull time doing it!

What is one piece of technology that you could live without in life?
The one piece of technology that i think i could live without in life would definately be the my desktop coumputer. i bought it almost 2 years ago but i hardly use it. It has just been sitting there forever, mainly because i got a new laptop so i use my laptop rather then my desktop. By doing so, there are some advantages and some disadvantages. The first advantage is that when you have a laptop, it is easier to carry around and work on where ever you like. Unlike the desktop which would be very heavy and big to carry around. Another advantage is that laptops have a built in wi-fi that makes it easier to surf the internet. It makes it easier to join any kind of inter point and just surf the internet without worrying about the cable and power outlets. It could carry a charge that can be used whenever you like, unlike the desktop which requires a outlet. However, there are also few disadvantages to laptops. the first one would be that it is way easier to break down rather then a desktop. The material that it is made is with usually very delicate and costly to repair or get a new one. And even if the cost isn;t really the problum, you cannot fix, for example, the screen if it breaks by your self. Rather you would have to send it to the manufacture to fix it. But these are aviodable disadvantages that can be taken care off with a little bit of carefullness. For the most part, i could definately live without my desktop computers because i hardly use it. My laptop in the other hand is a completely different story. As nerdy as it sounds, i have a lot of this stored in my laptop that are very important to me and dont think it would be possible to survire without having them.

The Great Gatsby
In the novel based movie, The Great Gatsby, the idea of american dream has been explored very interestingly. The main character in the book, Mr. Gatsby, has practically everything in terms of money and fame. But is still not happy with his possessions because he lacks one thing, Daisy, the girl he loves. The whole idea of american dream come in play here. Though Gatsby has a lot of money and is famous (usually associated with the "the american dream") he lacks love. During almost the whole part of the book and the movie, Gatsby chases after his dream (Daisy) but does not seem to get it. He tries to impress her with his money but fails. He throws parties after parties just to fit in with the society. I think that the main message being passed here by the author is that the american dream is like an utopian idea that is too perfect to be achieved. In the book, Gatsby has pretty much everything that a person would want but without his love his dream is unfulfilled. Not every one can get everything. Not every thing is perfect. And perfection is hardly achieved. Those three things really summarize the whole lesson to be learned from this story. Gatsby's search for true love and his attempt to complete his dream remains unfinished in the novel. One thing that we can learn from this experience is that since not everyone is perfect, and since perfection is practically impossible to achieve, we should be happry with what we have and should be thankfull.

Evaluative Argument
I am not a big fan of eating outside in restaurants, but i do go sometimes. One of the best places i have been to is a small restaurant called "Bombay cafe". It is small indian restaurant that serves great quality indian dishes while still being fairly cheap. Their food is cooked in america but made with traditional indian recipe. When you first enter the restaurant, they greet you with a lovely smile while a traditional indian music is being played in the background. They usually serve non-vegitable dishes which are not very sweetable for vegetarians, however they do also serve vegitarian food such as "purri". It is a round peice of chappatti usually eaten with some sorts of curry in the side. The dining environmental is also very soothing, especially because of the usual traditional indian music being played in the background and the decorative indian paintings hunged in the wall. One thing interesting about this place is that kind of customer that it attracts are people of very different colors. For a typical indian resturant, located near a very vast indian community, i would normally expect it to mainly have indian customers. But this place is completely opposite. I never understood why, but i guess the great food speaks for it self. The people working there are also very friendly and seem very caring. Along with the delicious indian food, the whole environment and people around that place give it a whole diffenret feel. I would definately recommand this place to anyone looking for a great time and food! It is a perfect place to eat great indian food for low price!

whatever i like
Since we could choose whatever we want to write about, i choose to write about video games. I am a huge gamer and own about 3 consoles: a xbox 360, ps2 and a psp. i enjoy variety of games but mostly FPS games or first person shooters. One of the best games out there is the Halo 3. which is the third installment of halo series. This is also a FPS game and is very fun to play. Though there are commom stereotypes out there about games being 40 year old dudes that live in their mom's basement, i completely disagree with that. To tell the truth i have never played online with any1 older then 20 at most. And also one could make a living out of video games now by just playing it. Orginazitions like MLG, which stands for Major League Gaming, pay people to play games and win tournements. Not only that, major corporations like Dr. Pepper, addidas and nike have also shown interest in gaming and have sponsered many different teams. Professional players earn in about 6-7 digits per year. So for people who think that playing video games is not going to get you anywhere, think again. Reciently, MLG was even declared as a real sports like baseball and basketball. Though video games are probably never going to make it and be as famous as the other sports, they are certainly getting there and its only matter of time.

The power of Media!
i think that there are two sides to this issue. In one side, i think that it is really nice that every one has a chance to share their the news with eachother through the use of cameras, cam recorders etc. By sharing news, it gives people the opportuniety to be educated by learning new things. Also by doing so, people get to view the same side of the story through different perspective. However, on the other side, it definately has the potiential to completely distroy other's privicy. We as society need to be more responsible with this devices. Lets take "youtube" for example. In today's world, it has definately been a household term. It is a website where people can virtually put any kind of videos and pictures of anything or anyone, without the person knowing it. After the video is uploaded to the website, it allows any person to view the video without permission. This is very dangerious because it may threaten the person's job, relationship and dignity. So in my opinion, i think that it is very good to have these kind of devices with everone but we must learn to be very responsible and learn to use them effectively.

Post Secret
1)what were some of your initial reactions to the site?
- I thought that it was a really good site, a very creative idea to promote art. It is also a good way to share secrets too i guess.
2)why do you think that the images on the site were good manisfestation of the of this secret?
- It is so because, the images used corresponded very nicely with the secret. They were both passing the same image. In some instances, reading the secret first didnot make sense but then looking at the picture made more sense.
3)What is the importance of the writing verses the image in this type of project?
- Because the image gives the message more depth and lets us feel more of the emotion trying to be protrayed.
4)What spoke you more, the image or the word?
- i would definately same the image. First reading the message, i really could not feel it emotionally. But after when i looked at the image, it felt deep.
5)Pick one secret and link it two your blog, what do you think? If anything the secret is arguing.
- The secret i would pick is the one with an employer talking about why her boss plays musical instruments. I thought that was very smart because the image displayed two musical instrument inside bed, almost seemed like they were couples. It seems that the boss likes her!(link= https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKRPzw-4gOzeW6pdjKoORJnGLKS-VYILYsHL28B5sSOZa_legDohUmglmlpOZKj2ykL_1Le9-4FHU3CDSUkw-sLseN5-TeTatjf8eyA0Q0bGiFdYXDVrFJJ9PPD9l4xMbr5Ng5gcD2F50c/s1600-h/office.jpg)
